St. Leger

"What hast Thou taught me, O Love Uncreated? Thou hast taught me that I should bear patiently like a lamb, not only harsh words, but even blows harsh and hard, and injury and loss."
- St. Catherine of Siena (1347 - 1380)
Tertiary of St. Dominic, Virgin, Doctor of the Church, Patron Saint of Italy

Today is the feast day of St. Leger. He was the Bishop of Autun in France, and was killed and tortured for a crime he didn't commit. Because of this, he is considered a martyr and a saint.

St. Leger, pray for us!
