St. Aquilinus

Today is the feast day of St. Aquilinus. Aquilinus was born in Bavaria around the beginning of the 7th century. He moved to Milan, Italy, from his homeland in order to avoid being made bishop. He also fought greatly against the heresy of Arianism, which denied the divinity of Christ. He was so effective in his preaching against Arianism that a group of Arians murdered him in 650. He is the patron saint of the hotel porters of Milan, Italy.
