Saint Teresa Margaret Redi

"Let the nuns take care not to excuse themselves for their faults except when absolutely necessary. By acting this way they will make great progress in humility."
- Saint Teresa Margaret Redi (1774 - 1770)

Today is the feast day of Saint Teresa Margaret Redi. Teresa was born Anna Maria Redi in 1774 in Florence, Italy. In 1765, Anna joined the Carmelites and took the name of Teresa Margaret. While in the cloister she exhibited a remarkable prayer life and deeply penitential demeanor. She died at the age of 23 in 1770, and was canonized in 1934 by Pope Pius XI.

Saint Teresa Margaret Redi, pray for us!
